Description
Cottage in the Alt Penedès in the town of Gelida. XV century farmhouse completely restored at the foot Gelida's Castle. It is fully equipped to enjoy a pleasant stay with family and friends. The maximum capacity of the cottage is 15 people.
The farmhouse is on two floors plus an attic. Contemporary decor that respects the traditional elements (stone walls, arches ...) creates a cozy atmosphere and makes us feel at home. Has all kinds of services both inside and outside (wi-fi, air conditioning, heating, cot, baby bath, changing table, high chair, bed linen -also for cradle-, towels).
On the ground floor of the rural farmhouse we find the living room with TV, sofa, an extendable table, a fireplace and a great porch with mosquito nets and access to the garden. Also on the ground floor we have a fully equipped kitchen, one of the double rooms and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms (one with a bed "King Size" as well as a room for 6 people with two bunk beds and two single beds. Also on the first floor there is a shared full bath. Finally, in the attic we could find the suite, which has a double bed, an extra bed, a bathroom and fantastic views of Gelida's Castle and the Alt Penedès and Anoia, framed by the mountains of Montserrat.
So the house has 3 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms that are distributed in:
- 3 double rooms.
- 1 Room Triple Suite with bathroom and TV.
- 1 Room for 6, 2 Bunks and 2 single beds.
The outside of the house is fully equipped to enjoy and have a good time outdoors. We have a large garden, a parking area for 3/4 cars, a children's play area with a slide, a sandpit, a small wooden house and a trampoline. The outdoor furniture is new, and allows us to enjoy the views of Gelida's Castle while eating or dinner in the garden, which also features a barbecue and a summer pool.
The house is located in a very quiet environment, and is perfect to disconnect a few days. In addition, the Alt Penedès offers many activities ranging from gastronomic routes, pairings, wine tasting, cultural visits to important wineries, until biking, hiking and lots of other activities. Don't forget visiting Gelida's Castle, dating from the tenth century and which guided tours are offered.
